Combat...how the heck does it work?

With q21 leather armor, q19 leather pants, q23 chitin helmet and a q20 batwing would it be possible to kill a moose and have leave with only minor wounds and with 33 UA, 26 STR, and 24 AGI if I spammed left hook?
I have my doubts, but I figured I'd see if it's plausible.

I don't understand how to use any of these "openings" or any of that stuff..I just saw a guide on YouTube that I could kill a bat with little to no armor or skills by just spamming the hell outta left hook. So far it's worked for me to be able to kill bats and foxes with ease. But I want to try taking on different animals. I don't have access to metals, so that's outta the question.

I've seen some people talking about "cheesing" combat actions by ducking in and outta caves/burrows entrances..but I still don't know what to do about that..would I just start fighting and then duck into a cave/burrow entrance to reset my whatevers? I have no idea on what anything means. I just know "spam left hook".

I've also seen plenty of guides for combat, but I guess I just can't figure them out. :/

If you tried to do that you'd get fucking slaughtered. Would probably ko you before you could get killed by knicks and knacks, atleast.
