If I cancel all of my current quests, will I get more eventually?

Just started again, learning all the changes since World 8, and I'm loving the quest system, but it's keeping me tied to the starting area...

I'd like to move to a new home, cancel all my quests, and presumably get to meet a new rock or tree or whatever there.

Depends on number of quests completed. It can take from a few minutes (about 5 if memory serves, maybe only a couple) to many days. I've seen reports of more than a week.

Do note that if you cancel a quests due to distance, the new ones probably aren't going to be any closer. Try to reserve doing this for moving to a different region of the world.

If you've done more than a few dozen, I'd suggest not waiting and just Commune with Nature. 2000 EXP is little compared to what you won't get while waiting.
