Quality formulae -> Material weighting question

Postby qoonpooka » Sun Apr 09, 2017 8:03 pm

I am, for example, building a Rope Walk.

I have q18 boards, q10 blocks, and a pile of string with an average q of 30.

Do I expect (180 + 80 + 600)/38 = ~q22 Rope Walk?

Or do I expect (18 + 10 + 30) / 3 = ~q19 Rope Walk?

In other words, do materials that have higher quantities in the recipe contribute more to quality?

For most craftings and buildings, there are pretty accurate formulas at the Ring of Brodgar wiki page.

Sadly, your example, the rope walk has not been written down there yet.

Bricks are weighted x3 compared to the rest weighted x1, but the amount of other ingredients is miniscule.

It's best just to look up the formula for what you're making.
