Help with killing bears..

Hello..

Can someone please help me by sharing tactics on how to hunt bears solo? .. i try using a boat and shallow water.
But bears still just run away and are too fast to catch up to.. is there a way to rage them so they dont run away?

usually solo players will use an alt and use 2-4 boats to 'cage' the bear as they don't break boats when running away. i haven't tried to hunt bears yet as a lazy hermit

1. Find sharp corner of shallow water.
2. Place another dead animal/second boat to block bear.
3. Start win.

that reminds me, small boulders block 'large' animals aswell. simply right click a boulder and place on the ground with the grid, the place can walk through on a pixel or two of space between but animals can't follow

use a palisade with 2 gates + 2-3 boulders on one entrance and trap animals in then combat through the rocks. if you can't reliably slip between the rocks, have a house in the palisade and hearth out

Or you could clover a horse and use its speed to kill a bear.

EDIT: DON'T do this. Bears use rawhide now (mammoths too), you'll die.

another thing you can do is get a high end weapon and decent strength so that when you hit the bear the first time, you deal 600~ damage and instantly piss it off. That way it wont run from you
