Resource Qualites

Postby jock » Sat Apr 15, 2017 7:39 pm

Trying to gain a better scope on the higher end of natural resources.

What is the Best/ Highest range of the follow (naturally occurring):

Clay- Ball, cave etc
Ore - Iron
Rock - Any
Black Coal

Mostly to be used as a comparison/ what to look for.

Didn't see an answer to this, so figure I'll give it my best knowledge:

Items found ONLY on the surface tend to top out around 90-100. If you're extremely lucky, you'll find something a bit over 100. To note, anything over 40-50 is probably going to be claimed, but nodes can be hard to find and abandoned claims do decay. Otherwise, q60-70 is pretty good to work with if you can find it. You can make better bone clay with troll or other high quality animal bones, even if you have poorer cave or pit clay available.

Items from mines go up in quality as you get deeper. I'm not sure on the high end, but 150+ isn't unusual from what I understand.

Just to note, you're not going to get people to answer this truthfully. I'm only providing highest qualities I've seen posted from past worlds.

Those, all the same max q as far a I know since the source is the same, mining l5. Please note that some realms have a bonus to q of underground areas so this will definitely be higher than past worlds.

There's more stone regions than there are ore regions. So probability dictates that stone will likely top out higher.

@magic Q40 is plenty common enough that people don't bother claiming it. 60+ is probably a better bet where claims start.

I wouldn't get your hopes up for 50+ imo, it's a small world and it's been out for 3 months. Everything that can be found will be found.

Good news is you can still use boneclay to boost yourself if you manage to accumulate enough wealth.

I'd probably agree with you but I've seen too many nodes in the q40-50 range get claimed. (I know because I'm bold like that.)

I can't remember what world it was, but there have been cases.

I'd just like to point out that world expansions do add a LOT of area to be searched and it's fresh territory the established factions can be slow to search for if they have a good supply source already.
