1) I gather that claim shields protect stuff from vandalism meaning that even a roundpole fence on a claim requires 60,000 HP damage to take down, so even just hand-bashing stick walls will take HOURS thus even basic vandalism is essentially nerfed to oblivion right now? Or is this only a factor for siege equipment?

2) My claim shields block inspection... I think? One of the planting guides suggested doing a 'seed check' by planting and then inspecting the resulting quality. I assume this is Adventure->Inspect on the crops once they're planted. The result I get is a status of my claim shield rather than information about my crops? Is there a way to inspect past a shield, especially your own shield?

3) Are shields hurt when I expand a claim the way Presence seems to be? If so it seems optimal to buy land in large chunks rather than row by row, as needed.

2) seed checks were disabled by devs. Old guides might not be updated to this change.

3) Pretty sure claim shield isn't related in any way to claim size. So buy land however you see fit.

The shield dosn't block inspection, it was completely removed from crops some updates back.

Yes, on expanding the claim the shield shrinks similar to how the presence reduces. I just tested and upgrading a 60*25 claim to a 61*25 claim reduced the shield ~900 points.

Yes, on expanding the claim the shield shrinks similar to how the presence reduces. I just tested and upgrading a 60*25 claim to a 61*25 claim reduced the shield ~900 points.
