Would likely lead to a permanent burn scar wound like toad butter does if so.

But stitching up a wretched gore wouldn't leave a scar? Fair point though, my real life experiences with infections are that if you let the wound air out often, avoid excess movement and keep the wound as clean as possible then it will almost always go away. Other than that, I know that cleaning the wound with salt water or strong alcohol can help. Also, some herbs and plants can be used as natural antibiotics, which is why so many cultures use herbal teas as medicine. Willow bark is a major one, but I know that there are some others, too.

Have anyone found it?
Btw wound starts getting worse again - it raises to 9, then after hour heal to 8. During that i dont have any fighting and have energy >8500 So looks like there is some random involved.

Have you tried sleeping?

Confirmed ancient root heals it. So there's that at least.

Has anyone managed to heal it (apart from using ancient root)? It seems to go randomly down and up with the trend being to slowly increase.

I discovered that a bad crab pinch that was almost healed turned into an infected sore of 4 points after I was running around in swamps for curios.

Edit: After taking a swim in a nearby lake then doing nothing but study curios, the sore went from 5 to 3. Testing the bed rest theory now.

Update: Sore went down to 1 point after sleeping in a bed for over 10 RL hours.

Final notes: The sore finally went away after sleeping for an extra 2-3 hours.

My hypothesis is that yes, bed rest helps. You can still do light work such as foraging on grasses, farming, and crafting. Best to stay put in one place and sleep/log off, however.

I found a camomile a hour ago. It says it heals some damage when eaten, but i already heal my infected wound using ancient root, so i cant check it.

My infected sore history till now:

2 Crab Caressed turned into 2 Infected Sore shortly after the patch was released
    Initial severity: 5 and 6
At first it decreased by 1 point each
After that wounds were mostly increasing up till 9 and 10 respectably
Tried to rest in a bed while in healing range (energy over 8000%)
Checked on the character after 2h in the bed, wounds were at 10 and 11
Left the character overnight in the bed
Checked the wounds, 5 and 13 respectably
Stayed afk while checking from time to time, wounds were at 5 and 13
Left the character overnight in the bed
Wounds are at 21 and 2

So the conclusion we can draw is that bed rest likely heals one wound at a time, and any others will steadily get worse until the one wound is healed.

Be glad to hear from anyone drying a chamomile if there is any recipe unlocks.

Will report on the plant when it is done drying.
It seems to take 2 real life days to dry on a herbalist table as it is at 50% after about 24h.
