Locked out of my knarr

So, I built my first knarr last night. Long story short, Used a lock wrong and no longer have a key. So I've got this giant boat that I can't destroy, can't move, and can't get rid of. Is there ANY way to get rid of it? I can't re-key it, because there is no key, and I can't sail it, because it's locked. While I REALLY wish the devs could just...come unlock it for me and undo my stupid, stupid mistake, I know that won't happen. So what options do I have? Are there any, at all? Or do I have a really big, pretty water ornament?

The only way to destroy a knarr is with siege equipment. I don't know if that includes wrecking balls, but I do know people use catapults to wreck them.

I mean at least you now have some sick decoration to your base

You can even open a galley gallery; place a sign next to it spewing some bullshit about viking history and charge people to see it.

The sum of my experience is comprised up of more skeletons on my own claim then alot of you guys have wood blocks invested in your wall. But even though these skeles show i am a bad player- i still strive to continue through this vile territory in the hopes that one day i will have an army big enough to find you and murder all you know

As of now, no. There are some strong arguments for this to change, though it probably shouldn't be easy.

Yeah some way to get past the lock would be nice. I've had a locked knar sitting outside my claim since I started playing. Some player had just left it there and either quit or died. Also seen one sitting in a lake. Seems wrong to have these huge ships, but can't do anything with them or about them sitting around. Going to try the wrecking ball to destroy it soon.

Not saying current system isn't bad, but I'd like to remind how it was before locks on Knarrs were implemented. Knarrs were ridiculous free-for-all with people only needing and alt with theft to steal one and keeping alts on them to prevent people from stealing them back without murder scent.

It actually blows my mind how knarrs were in the game without locks for half a year and people just never made them because they got stolen all the time.

Couldn't you allow the lock to decay over time or once the boat decay's to a certain point it becomes unlocked? Then the new owner would be tasked with restoring the Knarr.
