Druid's Helmet secret magical powers?

I just crafted my first wrought iron a few days ago and it unlocked both the Druid's Helmet ( which looks amazing) and the Winged Helmet.

What got me puzzled is how much better the latter is.

Winged Helmet: +1 Agi, better armor stats, 1 bar of wrought iron to make

Druid's Helmet: -1 Agi, worse armor stats, 3 (triple) bars of iron to make

Am I missing something? Is there a hidden buff to farming since Druidic Rites is also required? Do you befriend forest animals with it?
It just seems silly to have a piece of equipment cost much more advanced resources when it's worse in every single aspect than an easier to craft alternative.

For no apparent reason winged helmet is the second best helmet in the game.
