What can go into tanning tubs

I dried some hedgehog fur and squirrel fur, can i put those into tanning tubs for leather or does it only work with larger animals

All hides can go in tubs. When you're drying small hides though, and the fluid gets to the half way mark, you might find it will complete one leather and leave the other hides near complete, so you'll need to top it up.

You can put multiple small hides in the same tub.

Nor can squirrel tails, dried or otherwise, even though the tails count as hide.

ALright if I may as another question, i put bark in the tub, i filled it with water and put two hedgehog skins and a squirrel skin in, the water is still blue(if its supposed to change) and nothing else is happening, am i missing something?

You don't have enough bark or water in. It takes 40L of water and the tannin concentration has to be at least 5%. One bark per bucket is my method if the bark quality is lower than the water. It'll take it up to 10% if you double the bark, and the quality is averaged so if your bark is better than your water, go for that.
