Taming an Animal

Postby mlg_no-Scoper » Fri May 19, 2017 2:31 am

I have been reading up on the wiki on how to tame animals. Some sources say you have to fight it and feed it a 4-leaf clover, others say you can use the spell quell the beast, others say otherwise. Though I am pretty sure you have to feed it, then use quell the beast, and fight it when you need to, but then again, it may be something else. I hope it is something simpler so that I can do it, especially since I have bad stats and suck at fighting.

Clover animal. Leash to hitching post. Wait 24ish hours until it looks ready to fight (legs splayed). Start fight, immediately choose the peace option top right of screen. Beat it down to 1/4 of its hp without fully killing it. It will deaggro and start walking around. Rope it to the hitching post and repeat the next day. Takes 3-4 rounds to tame normally.

Some animals desynch from your playing time. Try to tame 5 animals at a time, kill any animal you don't see ready to fight for 2 days and get new ones.
