How to find where you are on the world map

Or just in general. I can't find any public maps that include kingdoms and villages. I know nearby villages and kingdoms and have my local map, but I have no idea if, say, I'm near an edge/corner or something.

There is no public map that includes realms/villages with constant accuracy that I'm aware of.

I already use Amber client.

The button says "unable to determine your current location".

Also, how do people know where big villages/realms are on the forums then? For instance, people talk about "dis" or "akihabara" or "odditown" but are these well-known enough to have people know where they are? I also seem to recall waaay back like in world 4 or something, having maps that had village names on them, though I might be mistaken....

Are you outside when you press the button? It doesn't work in caves or in houses.

As to the rest: People have mapped them manually. I know the location of 3 kingdom capitals personally, and I could point them out on a map. If someone took the time asking around enough, they could likely get the majority of the capitals on a map. This is what they've done in the past.

Loftar had a widget of some kind that tracks realm claims. But it's not pretty or public. Presumably at some point there will be such a tool but right now there isn't.
