Terraforming 'tricks'

Just want to share a couple of neat little terraforming 'tricks' I've been trying in Aurora to achieve a nicer overall look
Sorry about the ugly grids, they're needed so it's easier to understand:

1. Better looking roads

Just a bit of digging to make streets look 'lower' than sidewalks, feeling more like... well, streets. It looks cool when there's more people and you can clearly see the 'height difference'. It also looks great with bricks as the straight lines make the curve more evident.



2. Better looking farm fields

Make a survey flag on a field, lower 2 levels but instead of digging it whole, just dig straight lines from south to north, skipping one tile after each line - like this:



In the end you'll have better looking fields
They look great when running around (you can see the camera moving) or with big structures nearby (like a windmill) because you can see the shadows swirling!

pretty cool, one thing I miss in my base is having the ability to terraform and pave without having to destroy everything
