Deleting Flavor Objects

Postby linkfanpc » Fri Jun 02, 2017 8:22 pm

Is it possible to delete flavor objects so they stop lagging out my game? My Intel HD Graphics Card prevent me from being able to use custom clients to disable them, so i just want them gone.

If so, how? Where do i look and what files do i delete? What other things should i delete to let up on lag?
Total misplay.

I think Loftar should definately add more graphic options to the default client, one shouldn't be obliged to use a non-official client only cause his machine cannot run it.
That being said, there are always limits even to the graphic to not break the game design. I mean, one could make a textual version of the game with a custom client, but that will not be the same game anymore, same thing that happen with the current custom clients, and also it's why they are bad.
Btw, right now, Loftar is working on optimizations and new rendering system, so probably it will be better for you soon.

Yeah, i know, but Jorb said they wouldn't be done with any major changes for months, so i need to scrounge up as many frames as i can until then.

Try installing Java 1.8.25 http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/ ... 77648.html
Search for jre-8u25-windows-x64.exe on that page if you're running 64-bit Windows or jre-8u25-windows-i586.exe if 32-bit.
Some of the older Intel GPUs are not supported by newer versions of java.exe used to run custom clients.

Hmm...alright, i'll try that later. Thanks!

In the meantime, any idea about my original question?

Short of loftar adding an option to disable them, nope, can't remove them. Well I guess technically it's possible to modify cached tile resources to exclude flavor objects if I remember correctly how it works, but that's not trivial and will require writing software for that.
