Troll Combat

Level 1 cave, been mining chalcopyrite from it. Went on vacation for a week, step inside and the usual entrance is covered in cave-ins, and there's a troll wandering around in the mining zone. It can't path to me because caveins, but the cave entrance is also far enough away that it didn't aggro on me...

...but now my only local source of ore is interdicted.

I want to bag me a troll.

Obviously my Q35 bronze sword, basic leather armor, and MC 50 aren't gonna hack it, here.

I also assume the Troll will not despawn, since it's remarkably unlikely that I happened upon the troll only 30 minutes after someone else was by.

So this is now my new progression goal, having just finished a big survival push.

What's a good MC/AGI/CON to go at this fight with, and will I be able to clear the cave-ins without the Troll dropping more on my head so I can engage him in melee before he does the auto-kill on me?

if you really want to die try fighting that thing alone for a start , for a instant death bring a horse , if you really want to fight a lvl 1 troll get your stats up to at least 150 and get 2 more friends to help switching the agro , if that thing gets a opening and then uses it's bite ability at 5 IP you're dead again , don't try using range , you will die miserably and probably ruin your quality , that troll is quite the foe so wait more until actually trying to take it on

Might be easier to call a trollbuster to help depending on where the mine is. Look in the Hedgehugs' Discord and ask. Usual payment is to let them have a share of the corpse's loot.

Yeah trolls aren't the kind of foe a hermit should face , they were made for villages to take down , this is why you see at least 3 people usually fighting one
