When to hunt deer?

Hello everyone.
So trying to gauge when I will be ready to hunt deer. I have a few wounds that need antlers.
At what level of unarmed/melee/ranged should I be before attempting to kill them?
I can kill boars with no issues at about 44 unarmed.

i think agil is the key factor to killing deer, they seem to have alot of agil and spam attacks, they are maybe just alil stronger than boar not much more hp but like i said they do atk faster

Do you have at least leather armor set, a sword and uppercut and sideswipe? If so you can already do it, you just need to clover a horse and kite the deer, using restorations as needed.
