Quest givers distance excessive

Hi all, do quest giver distance is increased in my absence? between each of the first 3 givers i had to go trough 5-6 map tiles (not minimap, the large one) and even more...i had to abandon a couple because even with a clover wild horse pony power was not enough to reach it, not speaking of getting back....

Sometimes they are close, sometimes they are quite far. I've been asked to go to the far side of the entire map, as I discovered when exploring road networks.

You can always just keep the quest unfinished in case you end up nearby someday.

if it seems far just go back to your base, abandon and stand there outside until you get a new one.

If you got it somewhere randomly then the radius can obviously be way further and you end up with things like this.

Very interesting, so basically the more distant they are, the more the new quest givers will be even far away... 4th quest giver i got is likely 7 maps away, still cannot find it O_o
In fact, i was wondering if abanoning the quest will change the giver too or if i just have likely a "fixed ladder" of givers...good to know

Well if you continue to quest you need to build crossroads. You should imagine it as losing x amount of minutes for travelling somewhere. If you make the journey often enough in that time you could've built a road. If using it even more often you're '''gaining time'' compared to physical moving so depends how much you care about quests.
