passing river claims by boat

I remember discussions here that boat passage will not be obstructed. However, some claims covering portions of a river I was able to pass, but some not. Could somebody clarify?

I don't remember when it changed, but you now need trespassing to cross a personal claim in a boat without permissions.

Some people give white trespassing permissions on their claim, so anyone can walk or row through it. Or the claims you can travel on might be out of presence.

if a claim is owned by a player that quit, the claim doesn't matter. takes a month or so (not sure) for a claim to stop working
