Hunting problem

I have already 44 Survival with items but all animals that i killed have 10Q max 13Q. What it depends on ? Im ranger with 30 marksmanship, 40 perc, sling 20Q and Bow 10Q. Please help

Arrows decrease animal's q. Go fight like a man.

You need to fight melee, can't use range weapons at all otherwise they take on the quality of the projectile.. kinda makes bows useless, but it is what it is..

Well, you can grind up and get some good quality arrows, but by that point... eh... it's as easy to just use a sword.
