As a hermit, should I put points into UA or MC for hunting?

I like MC with Shield Up to kill animals a bit faster while not taking much damage. You could also use UA with Oak Stance for better defense but somewhat longer fights.

It'll depend on if you plan on using an axe or sword and shield. If axe, go with UA and Oak stance, if sword and shield go with MC and Shield Up

MC is easiest to begin fighting with as you dont need much to do good damage, UA is better for getting openings and setting up for Attack.

mc is muuuuch easier/faster

with a sword you can kill something with low hp like a bat in less than 10s, i just quick barrage for 30-50 damage then use full circle to finish. for stuff with higher hp like boars and aurochs, use cleave and parry imo. cleave/parry/quick barrage takes longer to set up

ua is more for combos imo. use combat meditation and low blow for ip generation or get some mc for quick barrage. if no ip, uppercut seems to be the go to. i don't use take aim or think for ip generation as it feels much slower than low blow or quick barrage

Upvoting.
The most reasonable choice, as for me.
