So I recently found out that i live near a headwaters and now have a whole barrel of spring water with no real idea what to use it for. Any suggestions?

Effects of its use are effectively doubled over water of the same quality IIRC. There are a few "spring water" only crafts.

If the quality is good use it for planting trees/bushes, if not and you have significantly better regular water then it is mostly useless.
