How to fish somewhat efficient in early game, few tips.

The fastest way to sort worms in earlygame in my opinion is put cupboard next to soil pile, open stockpile, open cupboard, shift right click stockpile, entire inventory + cupboards fills up, pres control + left click to drop the soil on paved tiles.

This way you are left with the worms and the soil decays.
How to fish quick: Make 2 beacons, spawn 2 account, give 5 survival from random discoveries from trees and such, give equipment that buffs +5 survival and then you buy fishing skill, hearth magic, & you have free experience to use the fishers song which makes it atleast 5x quicker and you dont use XP from useful accounts. Can kill char to do this over and over. Also make use of the cupboard setup for convenient fishing.

Also equip 2 fishing poles so it continues when 1 breaks. (With either line or hook breaking it stops I forget which one, but one of them will not cause the fishing action to stop if you another fully equipped fishing pole.)

To make it a bit more relaxing can also make 1 fish slow and 1 use the buff, because if both buffed then you might be too slow to keep repairing fish pole all the time etc.

Hadn't thought of having a second pole before. Nice tip!

Not sure about just throwing away the dirt, though it usually is in excess. Guess that'd be up to the individual.

Looking at this I get the feeling that cupboards should decay even quicker outside than they currently do...

Oh well at least I'm fishing.

Tell factions this and they laugh and say bot it. Even though my containers may be bigger I still think it's legit considering 90% of fish is trash.

Nothing saying you couldn't use large chests and such to sort the worms into if you didn't hve the cupboards.

The ''nothing saying it'' is called ''early game'', you know, when fishing is still sort of relevant. :P

Noone would do this in their right mind now unless you're some hermit who finds it fun to fish up dropped items or something.

There's always birch baskets and such that will let a noob with only a backpack filter worms into. I mean, you only get 1:10 dirt as a worm or so. For that matter, a wicker basket or 3 is probably enough to sort worms into. I was merely replying to the comment about cabinet decay, and to be honest, it's not safe. Cabinets can break any second while a map is loaded. Decay is processed every few minutes if it's still the same as legacy.

Thanks for this, just getting started and as soon as I'm advanced enough to construct a fishing pole I'll get into it.

Any tips on going from just starting to making fishing pole quickly?

Bit late but I wouldn't go for it quickly myself as it offers little advantage to rush it.

Just generally progress and later when you have entrails/excess worm from terraforming then it's a good idea to fish for a bit :)

Zander, silver bream, perch and another one I can't remember were decent for intelligence.
