Why do I keep finding Boletes?

Every time I go exploring, I see at least one bloated bolete; I was wondering if moving to new tiles caused them to generate. Does anyone have any explanations?

lol hay i like em, but i think thay are fate items (common ones) prob something with that, idk shit about fate but iv kinda get the idea that if you do something alot yoy get less fate from it and better chance for other fate stuff not related, but like iv said only a guess

Which means that someone mass-farming things can 'monopolize' them through stockpiling them (instead of studying/crafting) long enough for all others to give up on looking for that item?
