Paint Question??

Why is the game asking me for purple and orange dye for a piece or artwork that has no orange or purple? And why does the red version have more fields and contours than the turquoise version?? It's the same art, the only difference is the colors.

I'm using the hex color #ff0000, the game should be interpreting that as pure red, right?

Uploading black hearts on a red background worked fine. But then I tried uploading a black and white version and I got this bizarre result.

Turquoise?? Purple?? Why? The original image was pure black and white.

Can someone explain paint to me, please? This is confusing.

If you zoom in the sketches after you uploaded them, you will see those single pixels of purple and orange etc and that gives you more contours

Hard to tell without the original image, but most likely because you have some anti-aliased pixels in there that aren't of the pure colors.
