Do you need rage skill for people to kill your character?

Do I need to have the rage skill for people to be able to kill me? I know that anyone can attack me, but can they kill me if I don't have rage? I know they need rage to kill someone, but I was reading posts/wiki and was a bit confused. Can nidbanes be sent after your character if it doesn't have rage?

Nah, you can die whenever.

It was suggested a few times that characters without rage could be immune to death, but that would lead to some shenanigans.

If you remember where you read about that on the Wiki, I'd be thankful if you could point me to it. Whatever page it's on needs to be clarified it looks like

This is what confused me,
"character-specific scents from characters that do not have Rage cannot be used to summon a Nidbane. This is an attempt to fix nidbane spam between various PvP factions to stop players from throwing unskilled alts out to be killed by the other side just to get more murder scents. "
So if I don't have rage, people can still summon a nidbane against me?

so basically if your character doesnt have rage and is murdered, that murder scent cannot be used to summon a nidbane.
in this fashion you cant just create alts to be sodomized by your enemy and then proceed to summon a dozen nidbanes to murder him.

A line of thinking that completely ignored that it's stupidly easy to create alts that have rage.
