Requirements for Green Kelp?

I've been searching for green kelp and have had no luck finding it and very little information on it. I have 30(per)*59(expl) and can't see it yet. Anyone know the exact requirement so I can plan for it?

No clue about exact number.
I would suggest to eat more carrots (as these are good for the eyes ) and other PER food, then you should start to see it soon.

Well, if you got a quest for it, that means you're above the "no chance" level to find it. As granger says, add more PER and EXP. More and/or better gildings, spectacles help, too.

I also cannot for the life of me find any green kelp, need it for my forager quest, at 62*60 per*exp.
Where does it spawn? I assumed either in the water or on beaches, but I've yet to see any.

It spawns in the shallows of lakes mainly, I think shallows of rivers too though not 100% sure, my exp was 85 when I started seeing them and per would have been around the same as I raise stats pretty evenly being as I don't use alts. But the exact amount of per/exp I'm not sure of either.

You'll recognise it when you see it though as it does resemble green seaweed and there does seem to be quite a bit of it around.

I would like to ask the OP's question again. I need 2 of these for forager yet I can not find them. I see clams, grey clay, even shipwrecks. Have they been removed from spawning on the river/lake shallows?
