How to find Tangled Bramble

Postby Hingle_McCringle » Mon Oct 23, 2017 12:46 pm

Does anyone know what lvl of Perp*exp Tangle Bramble shows up, Ring of Brodgar Wiki does not not show what level it appears at, and i have been searching the clay areas on the map and nothing is spawning.... i assume its because i am to low of a lvl, or else these places are being picked clean of it before i get a chance. any thoughts?

That's only 10 per * 10 exp so not too hard to gain. The problem is more that they are both rare and easy to see so likely other people are grabbing them.

10*10 is 100

Actually that's about 32 * 32 ( = 1024 ... closest square number without going under) ;)

They're visible a bit less than this, but your chance of seeing them are very low. You should be able to have some chance to see them if you get a quest to find them. As far as I know, the values on the wiki from legacy are still correct for the herbs listed.

They're not rare. Once you can start seeing all of them, you usually will find one per med sized clay area, and a couple in a large one. If all you have are smaller clay areas, you might have to get lucky to find one. You just have to contend with RNG and might go several days without spotting one.

Do note, if you don't know already, that items are spawned when an area is loaded into the server, and items are wiped when an area is unloaded from the server. It takes an area being empty for about 15-20 minutes before it is unloaded. Unless you live in a heavily populated and active area, you should be able to come back after 20-30 minutes and have an area of fresh spawns (extra time for the random chance that someone else wandered into the area and reset the timer).

Not to revive and old thread but, I am having issues finding them now in W16. I have 1060 perexp and I can not see them (using hafen client to track) in the crtl+I menu. Did they pump up the perexp needed to forage these? It is making this creedo quest hard to complete.
