Poppy caps?

I might have overlooked it in Search (I get references to poppy pods instead of caps) but, yeah, title. Where do these things come from? Need one for Quarryman credo, and I've never seen one come from my poppy fields (5x20 rows, plus a 4x8 section.) Is it like pods where it just randomly harvests?

edit: Might want to actually make this a disambiguation page in case anyone is actually looking for Poppy Pods. I'll leave that up to the wiki masters and public consensus on if it's needed.
