Whats the trick to maximizing Honey/Wax quality?

Postby arcolithe » Wed Dec 20, 2017 10:09 am

are certain plants not considering pollinating?
if a plant is ready to harvest, does it still pollinate?
is there a certain formula and softcap/hardcaps for the honey:
if I had qu350 plants and a qu150 hive, how long to pollinate until I get the maximum honey quality? and what would my maximum be?

I dont know if this still applies.

But you should afk alt next to your beehives 24/7 and when server restart comes, move the beehive into a house.
constantly replant your high quality carrots that have been planted all around it.

You want plants that grow quickly, ie carrots. If the hive goes too many cycles (any?) without pollinating, the quality starts dropping.

Wasn't it changed a while back so that hive quality matters, too?

so if the concern is high quality beehive, you maximize the radius around it, and only use specific fast growing plants.

Yup! The quality of the beehives does make a difference now on the quality of the honey and wax that it produces. So it pays to replace older hives with better quality ones to match the quality of the crops you are using with them.
