Like you have one village on the surface and another one on the first underground layer?
So you can for example increase the amount of shields.
I know you can extend a village downwards, not sure about upwards though.

Otherwise, a village may extend their claim downward to the next level by building claim objects (banners) directly underneath any part of an existing village claim.
No, it wouldn't increase the amount of shields. Damaging one shield damages all connected shields. Hit a shield on a personal claim, and it damages the village shield and vice versa.
Villages can only be extended down by design.

Simple answer: No. Toggle on the visibility of the claims. The village claim must overlap the personal claim. A village claim only exists on one level unless the lawspeaker (or others with such authority) dliberately extend the village claim downward.Infinity-Production wrote:If there is a V Claim underground will it stop other villages from being created on the surface and on the lower layers?
Simple answer: No. Makes claims visible, and if you can't see a claim there, you're more than free to put a claim down there as long as the claim fits the spacing rules (which only check on the same level). Note that if you or someone else places a claim over or under another one, the claim on top can't be extended down unless the expansion meets the spacing rules.
Sorry the previous answer wasn't clear enough. Claim placement is a complex mechanic and isn't prone to a simple yes or no answer most of the time. The rules aren't difficult overall, but they can be strange for newer players, and the interactions can make it a complex situation.
