You should have a link on your desktop, if you don't have it, go in control panel, java, temporary files, view, add link to your desktop.

You can also save "autohaven.jnlp" to the desktop and launch it as the app.

The downside to putting a shortcut from Java on the desktop is that the files are cached. Cached files can be moved or deleted. When this occurs, the shortcut link is no longer accurate and won't do anything other than give an error. (Of course, you can just put another shortcut there. Up to the user on how best to manage their system.)

Regular client is actually crap and there is no acceptable reason for it being so crappy

Pretty sure it's "run.bat" with the custom clients. Just sayin'... :geek:

Yeah, but that's another discussion. Definitely suggest using Amber for the more advanced tools. You can play with the basic client, but it lacks in so many things it's hard to list them all.

So I think I will stick with a custom client... It seems to be a good idea

I am brand new and can't seem to get the .jnlp to run, how do you get the custom client? All I can find on this site is the java file.

What client? Should be instructions in the thread in The Wizards' Tower. Some use Java Web Start just like the standard client, others use the more conventional java.exe to launch and have a batch file to start.
