Horse breeding and quality raising

Postby Hollogodis » Tue Jan 02, 2018 12:46 pm

So i wanna know what is taken into calculation when determing horse quality when they breed?

I got like a horse Q85 and Q90 breeding
and then some other with q79 and Q100 breeding

will the Q79 breed higher quality or what?

Depends on the other parent. Base quality is the average of both parent's quality, socftcapped by the father's breeding. To this base a -5/+20 random roll is added.

just want to piggy back on this question and ask:

when breeding horses should I only use ones that have highest stam/endurance or is it better to use the highest breeding quality?

are stam/endurance passed down through parents, or is that a rng thing?

All stats are inheritable. I think breeding only caps quality and those other stats are uncapped, but I'm not sure. Anyway, for horses I'd just ignore quality and focus on stamina/endurance because you're raising horses for riding rather than for their meat.
