Do the piglets, lambs, calfs etc. needs milk?

I had sheep and pigs, but then I slaughtered them and there are only lambs and piglets left. So will they die without feeding by adult animals?

In legacy they could be fed by milk barrels, iirc.

Yes, they will still drink milk from a barrel.

put a barrel and check later... if they don't drink their satiety or whatever bar will decrease until death or maybe they become adult before...

Afair, piglets drink it too ... don't bother with them for two worlds so can't be 100% sure.

Unless the rule has changed, it doesn't matter what the milk comes from. No idea if sheep or pigs will drink directly from a cow or not (seems like they did at one point).

Wait, so that means that if you tame pigs, and piglets do not have milk accessible, they'll starve? I think they eat like normal animals. Both them and foals.

As far as I can tell, they drink from a mother pig if one is in range. If not, then they drink from a barrel.
