Does anyone know a specific way to fish them?

since the wiki doesnt list the details you will have to look the hard way. use a lure and fish in different locations and pay attention to the success ratio of ide when it appears. just keep trying. this game relents if you're stubborn enough.
Newbie and noob do not mean the same thing.

Neither do figuratively and literally.

And if you want to be kind, you may update the wiki with your findings =]

Ide: deep lake- day - primitive casting-rod(bone hook+ spindly taproot+ pinecone plug)

I noticed that using different types of fishing lines open different "aim for fish menu", as in some lines favour different types of fish(Same spot).

Yeah, each piece affects what type of fish you catch, hook line and lure. I've put a lot of time into figuring it out, but I've found that the effects seem to be different in different locales.

Fish occur in nodes just like everything else in the game. Some fish do have an affinity for a particular combination, though, so when you do land on a node, you can find a particular fish type faster if you know its combination.

My takeaway from the hours of testing I put in was that the effect of different items might be different on different nodes. Like in one spot, poppy wobbler + strap + bone hook was a 90% catch for perch, but in another spot several grids away poppy wobbler didn't do shit all but if I switched to rock lobster it was a 90% perch node. Made it extremely difficult to figure out lure fishing.

I'm sure you could make a map if you wanted to and make notes of what you caught where and with what. Seems like too much effort for everything but a handful of fish that are needed for certain FEPs. (Are eel RoBs still popular for PSY? Or have eel just gotten too hard to catch to be a bother? Or better foods come up for PSY to make the RoB negligible?)

Eel aren't that hard to get, but between their low quality and having to use lots of trellises, I'd say RoB isn't really worth it.
