How can I see who owns a Hearth fire?

Postby Peregrin » Mon Jan 29, 2018 4:35 am

Brand spanking new to the game. Seen a couple hfires around and am wondering if there's a way for me to see who owns them.
Would be nice to know who's around.

You'll have to meet/kin the owner in person before you can distinguish their hearthfires.

a small tip: hearthfires change color depending on if the player is logged in (dark green) or logged out (light green). Most likely if you're coming across these HFs in the wilderness unclaimed, they belong to characters who might not log in often, or at all.

Ahh, I see. Didn't want to extinguish it, just wanted to see who it was. Thank you for the info. :)

If there's a claim, you can ctrl+r-click the claim totem to memorize the owner. Given it a distinctive name (or just number them) and then you'll know who lives where if you do run into them in game. Might help if you put a pin on your atlas (Ctrl+A) so you'll know who lives where later.
