Healing with leeches

Postby TAvish » Thu Feb 01, 2018 6:59 am

I’m currently down to 37 hhp from using leeches (I started using them at 49 hhp). Why am I losing hhp? I thought leeches were supposed to damage shp and possibly heal hhp in the process.

Leeches will give you leech burns which heal relatively fast. And will sometimes convert certain wounds into leech burns. But they will pretty much always hurt you when they tick
“We still, alas, cannot forestall it-
This dreadful ailment's heavy toll;
The spleen is what the English call it,
We call it simply, Russian soul.”

An idea to consider: Tedium, a Feature.

They only heal specific type of damage, to make distinction which wounds are healed by what get some custom client like amber or follow wiki.

Leeches deal HHP damage called "Leech burns", if they heal any wound type you might have currently the "Leech burn" will replace it. So let's say you have Blunt Trauma 18, you then get Leech Burn from q10 leeches and it will look like this:
Blunt Trauma 15
Leech burns 3

wiki here
amber here

The way you describe it worked in legacy.

Thank you very much for the response. This explains a lot since I haven’t played since legacy. I’ll look Into my wounds later and hopefully get my hhp back up.
