I need help with running

On haven and hearth my quest is to Run. It is the Shifting gear quest path, one of the first ones, and there is no speed-o-meter at the top left of my window. help?

Maybe you're lacking stamina to run? you can drink some water from a kasuka or wait
otherwise on default client i believe ctrl + shift + r changes walking speed if i remember correctly, and on amber client shift + q/w/e/r does a similar thing
There should be 4 icons of crawl / walk / run / sprint at the top, maybe there's some shortcut that hides them, i'm unaware of one.

press Space to bring it back.

Spacebar opens and closes the HUD, try clicking that.

Also, tapping Ctrl+R will cycle from left to right. (Crawl to Sprint then back to Crawl.)
