Village Claim over Personal Claim?

Idle question, Is there any current strategic value over having a personal claim expanded over the dimensions of a village claim?

LP cost of expanding said personal claim is the reason not to do it.

No real reason to do it other than permission management. Some things don't work quite equally between village and personal claims.

Animals won't spawn on a personal claim, but will on a village claim (if memory serves right). If logging into a bear is an issue, you'll probably need to pave or plow everything within the walls.

I do not think animals spawn on village claims, it never happens for me, and my village is large part underground, so not even bats or slimes have ever spawned inside.

Thanks. It's been too long since I've messed with villages, and guess I'm a bit dated on that. But come to think of it, even wandering around I don't recall seeing bears and stuff inside walls of villages where it's not all plowed up and paved.
