Need advices in hunting and healing

Postby Rexu21 » Fri Mar 30, 2018 12:04 am

So, I was training fighting yeasterday and i beat few foxes and beavers even one beaver and though that seal have small amount of hp too (thanks Ring of Brodgar) and are similar to beaver so i though why not?
Well now i have two wounds "seal finger" and its very annoying with my 25 dex (it only left me 5 ;-;). I read about it and it seams that Hartshorn Salve heals it but it needs
a red deer Antlers... So i need any tips and advices to help me hunt them, i think the Marksmanship way is best for me right now (safest) but i dont know how really do that wiki says i need just 30 perc and 10mms with 10ql bow and 10ql bone arrow to one shoot it but i Have bow 15ql, Arrows 20-25ql Perc is 35 and mms 20 and i only deal like 50-70dmg with almost fully loaded bar. So... Anyone can give me some tips or something? My hp is still bit low due to my curiosity and beavers den ;-;

when you can't easily heal one wound, you can do your best to get the others healed. Next, just go swamp swimming. This increases the odds of a wound becoming infected. You can then treat with soap, or over a relatively short time, it'll heal on its own. The one big warning on this: make sure you're not low on HP. Infected wounds have a tendency to get worse before they get better. By some reports, by a significant amount.

Ancient roots will heal anything, though, including stat damage that can't normally be healed. The downside is the difficulty in finding some.

Can all wounds become infected sores, including seal finger?

Anything that is a HP wound can become infected. Sometimes it is easier to heal these than to heal the original wound.

Some people have complained about the cost of making soap, but in my experience, as long as you manage your wounds, you're not likely to die from them. Hell, I was at around 30/100 HHP at one point after starting a new character, all wounds from snakes and a surprise bear attack (popped out of a cave into one), and was tempted to give up on the character. I decided to just see where it went with the wounds and if I could heal up. It took me a week or so of some careful play, including focusing on raising CON for extra HHP, but I got there. I saved the roots I did find for healing any permanent wounds from the snake bites or other treatments.

See my past post about hunting. It'll be a lot longer than what the wiki says to safely hunt deer.

Roam around a lot and you'll probably find a dead one eventually. If you have a friend you can both train unarmed, makes some shields/leather armor, and double team a deer. Usually my friend and I have him tank while I shoot arrows, it's a fairly safe and fast way.
