Nidbane question

Postby Infinity-Production » Fri Mar 30, 2018 10:52 pm

it says on the wiki that "Nidbanes scale in power with their target"
Does this mean they have the same stats as the target?
or is it lp? or is it agi+con+str? Weapon damage?

I would love to know the formula for the strength of the Nidbane

They have very small stats so the scaling does not really matter. I think that depending on the scent they have multipilers to their stats. Probably like from the stats of the criminal that it is attacking agsint?

The power of the nidbane is equal to the stats of the person that left the scent modified by the type of scent left and then softcapped by the quality of the equipment used to summon it (both dolmen and the fetter). This usually means that a single nidbane is ineffective.

But there are more stats than just combat, so a crafter or an archer would lose in combat against a nidbane?

One of the reasons why they're IMHO broken.
The other is that they're (as being softcapped by the creating character) useless for hermits to take revenge.

A) why would one of these characters have scents out? Never turn on criminal acts with a character that you don't want to get summoned on.

B) Why would a nidbane overpower a character that doesn't have any stats, either? The nidbane would be just as weak.

If the nidbane isn't after you, don't attack it unless it is very much an intentional plan.
