Being a founder in multiple villages?

Postby Coyotemation » Sat Apr 28, 2018 10:33 pm

Hey, so, I had a village claim on my own property. A nearby neighbor set up a claim as well and invited me to be a founder for that as well. Not thinking much of it I accepted and took part in the founding father process.

On my village idol, the option for "renounce lawspeaker" is gone as well. It doesn't show up. However, I seem to still have all my lawspeaker abilities, though, as I can still access them under Government.
Also, now in my Kith & Kin settings, the new village is the only village there. Not MY village, the one I set up myself.

What's going on?

So what you're saying is technically you can't be a lawspeaker in more than one village at a time?
So what happens to the Lawspeaker role when I've now joined a different village? There's two other people in my village, did one of them get the lawspeaker role now and they need to pass it on back to me?

No "technically" about it. This is the flat rule. If you take lawspeaker at another village, you automatically revoke the title in the village you're currently lawspeaker of. (There have been several requests to change this, such as requiring someone to first give up the title before even trying to take the title in another village.)

If you do willingly give it up by becoming lawspeaker of another village, the role is open and anyone that is a member of that village, and meets requirements, can take the lawspeaker role, but it needs to be done by a player. It's not just handed out randomly. The rule changes when the claim runs out (low? <50k) of authority. At that point, anyone, member or not can claim the title.
