Need help with milestone

So I built a relatively long milestone road and I'm trying to travel from one main milestone to the other, but I can only do so in bursts of teleports between small milestones, rather than a single long teleport from the two main milestones.

Can somebody tell me what exactly I did wrong?

Did I place my milestones too far apart from each other, my small milestones?

Is there a maximum travel distance?

There's something blocking the path, probably. Ensure you have a decent space around each one that you're getting stopped at cleared of all debris.
