So, i have been playing around with the realm stuff, in attempt to learn. When my kingdom first popped on the map, i noticed a few things that may be relevant to helping with the wiki, and also left me confused.

First the crown on the coronation stone is dull, i assume this is a rough guess on how much authority you have.

Why cant I build border cairns? the land is unclaimed, it is unclaimed because i destroyed the previous stone. I get this when i try to place it "An authority object cannot be placed there." Do i need a specific amount of authority before i can begin placing stones? you cant place it on your land, as its already ruled. is it too close to another stone? is there a cool down on placing stones, because i spent hours destroying it, only for them to come and reclaim it again would be awful.

Challenging a stone, does the defender of the stone have to simply walk up to the stone and click it? or is there a timer that appears. how does it work? really shitty to have sat there for 6 hours and a naked alt runs up and simply clicks it and its over. Just fyi, challenging the stone makes you outlawed. also gives you vandal red handed when destroying the stone

When someone gains an xp event while within the borders of your realm, is that taxed? or only if they are either A) members of said realm, B) there hearthfire is within the realm, or C) both A and B.

Are you made aware when you log in that a realm object has been destroyed? or only made aware of its challenge while the challenge is still active?

cuz i cant expand the realm at all, it just wont let me.

I know a couple of these are in the patch notes relevant to realms, such as the xp "tax" collected. Sorry that I can't help you more, but this goes beyond my realm of experience.

so i went underground, and found out i could place a border cairn, but i still cant do it topside. it must be something to do with touching border or something. But it would be nice if it maybe gave me some indication of what my failures are.

so, after some testing, of which if someone wants to add this to the wiki, itll help others immensely, border cairns cant be within a certain proximity of one another, the proximity however is huge, several map tiles, like 2.5 map tiles big in every direction from the border that it creates. Im still not certain if this is correct, but its the only thing i have to go by. second, the cost is 5 cloth, 15 blocks of wood, and 30 stone. I also think you have to build on your claimed land only, and cant build off it to extend land.

i still have no answer to the other questions yet, tho someone did complain about me destroying their cairn lol, tho im not sure whether or not it told him i did it, or someone told him.

The point of the wiki is people add stuff. You can do it yourself if you feel so inclined.

and im not inclined, because i dont know how to do it, and dont want to sign up for the service of doing it, when i can just relay the information to the wiki dudes to do it, who know how to do it, and provide the information in a formatted and concise manner.

If you already had this knowledge, why didnt you do it? right, thought so.

I'm not going to get into this fight of "why I should or shouldn't help contribute to the wiki," but it's no harder than making a post here. The registration is more or less anonymous if you want it to be so. Whether you want to really dig into layouts and page design is up to you, but simply posting text to an article is as simple as pushing the reply button here. The biggest thing we need are people to actually post information. Someone that knows the markup language can come along to add in the extras that make it a wiki. (A few people like to bitch and moan about people who don't make a perfect page when they post something, but those people need to pull the stick out of their ass.)

If there was a previous realm there, aren't there simply border cairns left over from it?

Possibly you could give us some leniency and automatically destroy authority objects when the object they depend on (village idol, coronation stone) gets destroyed? Or, at least, downgrade the now defunct ones to a pure decorative function so they won't get in the way?
