Do boreworms despawn?

pretty sure all animals despawn with the exception of trolls

Slimes don't, so i'd assume Boreworms don't either.

I've never encountered Boreworms yet, but i can't imagine they'd be too difficult. Just buy a decent sword and armor from CF and wipe the floor with them. I've killed moose with a meager 60-100 in my combat stats with cheap CF gear.

Both slimes and boreworms despawn if you leave the area for long enough. :)

Really? I went to a abandoned village that had been left there for many months and slimes were still down in their mines.

That's kinda dumb, if you can't handle a couple slimes i feel like you're not advanced enough to even be doing any real mining yet.

AFAIK slimes spawn on cave terrain like bats do, not just from mining.

They will, and can spawn in clumps, too, just like you dug them out.
