how do i get good quality ore

i need good q ore for cast iron so i can make steel and stuff but all the chalcopyrite veins i find are really low quality,and im on floor 1 so do i need to dig deeper for like bloodstone or what? also i searched it and i cant find it unless im just bad

Going deeper lets you find better ore types, and the quality nodes are typically higher. Not really much to do about it except mine more, and mine deeper.

Also keep in mind that tool quality (softcap) and masonry (hardcap) limit the quality of items you dig from void tiles.

at this point it could be also a lot easier to buy a good hammer and anvil from someone who will sell that for affordable price rather than doing all the grinding of metal quality yourself too, but keep in mind that u will have to grind a good smithing character anyway (and don't expect it to be completed anytime soon after you begin, its always good to make this kind of character at the beggining of the world and keep developing it so you will be better prepared to progress in game)

cool but i would rather not make alts for specific stuff, as grinding is boring lol thanks for the advice!
