How rare are Trolls with cave hermit credo

I have mined over 2500 blocks in the 5th level yet no trolls are to be seen, am i just unlucky or does the cave hermit bonus come after youve finished the whole credo?
im level 4 on the credo.

Just unlucky as far as i can tell.

The increased chance of mining out trolls is the Level 1 perk, therefor you would only need to complete Level 1 (And advance to Level 2) in order to get the perk.

EDIT: Remember that since the perk that makes trolls no longer attack you is the Level 5 perk, so you need to complete the entire credo to get it, so if you mine out any trolls they will aggro you.

They're just that rare to begin with. If the odds are 1:5000, doubling the chance makes it 1:2500. Note it merely says "increased," but not by the amount, and we're not entirely sure on the base chance at L5, just that it's low.

Or character progression be limited, leading to the same result - but one that can't be out-eaten/studied/spiraled.

What would one do when he has reached the cap where character can not get any better?

Had same experience with mining trolls by credo.
Only thing i can say for topic starter - dont ask or think how to mine em, just keep mining.

There is something like JCS (jorb caunting system) in credos therefore in which:
"slightly" means 10%
withouth any addition means 20-25%
and "greatly" means up to 50%
But thats just some observation and cannot be taken as axiome.
As for Trolls - I mined out 2 of them already (with credo) while wasn't so "lucky" before. And the amount of mined tiles is like 10.000.000:1.000, so just too many RNG to count.
