Trojan Wagon?

Postby Reyajh » Tue Aug 21, 2018 7:44 am

Curious, was reading up on Wagons on the wiki and noticed how it states: "...People riding in wagons can log out while in a passenger seat, and when they log back in, generally log in to the wagon. If you're crossing rivers with multiple people and a single raft, the passengers can log out while in the wagon, and the driver can raft the empty wagon over. The other players should be able to log in on the other side of the river. "
This got me thinking could a Wagon be used as a sort of Trojan Horse to get enemies into a village? I did a search with the terms 'Wagon Trojan Horse' here 1st, but the thread that it appeared in is locked and it appears the whole post or replies were unavailable for context purposes, but it seems, this can be done... Here is what I found:

It was done once in legacy (on accident) and I don't know if they ever changed it.

Thread for it here

i would suspect it would tell you the area in which you logged out is occupied and force you to hearth.

You can do a similar thing with knarrs. As long as the seat has not been used, the player will be able to log back in. The caveat is that if the wagon was taken inside the walls, presumably on a claim, you would be forced to hearthfire on login due to not have permissions on the claim.
