Questions about meteorite hunting

For those of you who have hunted meteorites: how was it? Was it worth it? Did you have competition? How much ore can you get per meteorite?

This is one of those things where knowledge hoarding to maintain a competitive advantage is taking place. I don't expect many meaningful comments. I'm reasonably certain titans still go to the crash site but not because they get anything useful out of it. Mostly looking to fight or just prevent others from getting to it.

Aparently you can use it to craft some sword but the quality makes the ore fairly useless at this stage of world progression.

Dumb. No. No. We got 50, but it evidently varies. It's just higher quality iron ore because Jorb/Loftar were unaware that nobody cares about ore quality.

How high is the quality? I heard it was the same as the tool you use to mine it, but that seems too good to be true. Can I ask what you did with the ore? If you used it for decoration, can you post pics?
