Nothing in the game can target a player once the player is Knocked out. The only way to die to someone or something is if the damage done is higher than your HHP and SHP remaining. Trolls spawn on the tile you mine out, destroying tiles adjacent and behind it (3x3 if I remember correctly). if you are digging in a straight line then you will not be trapped. You have about 10-30 seconds of it beating its self off before you can get away. I have been told that Troll's use rawhide when they spawn so horses lose control. It is best not to mine with a horse.

Get 2k stats its easy. Stat gains are broken.
Then you can solo dungeons and kill trolls and never worry.

lvl 5 troll i killed with archery alts

1-2 arrows, KO'd, heal, repeat

if you pvp the troll and your openings get too high it may kill you (happened to my casual self)

In a 1v1 fair fight? No. it would just KO you and wound you for half a year. If it could not reach you it might kill you with cave ins.

I just broke the 300 HHP barrier this past month, and my character has like 10 weeks worth of online time. Stat gains are broken only to those who have the means.
