Plz help new miner

hello all. im a new player in game and want to be a miner and bs. i dont know how to start. there a mountains on a map, is it better location for miner? i mean in mountains supposed to be more minerals. where is a richest place for minerals? how to learn mining i cant see it in available abilities. i will play solo, so i guess i have to be able to do everything myself. is it possiable to learn everything by one character? i mean i dont wanna be GM on everything, i just wanna be gm on mining and bs but the rest i will need for day to day needs like build my base or build a fence or anvil and so on.

mountains have more caves, and its easier to find minerals in caves. no one location is especially mineral rich.

yep. takes a lot of work though. consider joining a well established village to show you the ropes.

mining is essentially the end-game industry of haven, and takes the cumulative work of almost every other facet of the game to be efficient at it.
